Well here you can read a guide how to save your self alot of money from buying all those DS games while you can simply download them from the Internet and add them to a DS flashcard and play them all.
Requirements: Apart from a Nintendo DS you will need several things which can save you a lot of money. A recommended flash card for the DS at the moment is the R4DS card. You can purchase it on several places, among which is Google or almost all E-Bay like sites. (for the Dutchies: This is a nice site Nintendovoordeel, I ordered it there). Find an R4-card package including a pc-adapter (USB) AND a 2GB micro-SD memory card. Important: use a 2GB micro-SD card. There are many problems known with 4GB-cards. When you bought the R4-card, make sure you download the latest firmware from the R4-developer onto the Micro-SD card. In most of the cases, a manual on how to do so will be accompanied with the purchased package. Make sure your computer has a USB-input free for the SD-cardadapter.
Downloading A good site to download DS-games is Romulation. You need to register a free account, by clicking this link. After registration you should go to Romulation site. You can search for loads of games here. After your search you’ll see several games below the header Downloads. Besides the name of the game you’ll find a letter between brackets representing a language.
Here’s a list with most common languages: (U) = USA (English) (E) = Europe (English, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Netherlands) (J) = Japan (Japanese) (I) = Italy (Italian) (S) = Spain (Spanish) (K) = Korea (Korean) (H) = Netherlands (Dutch) (G) = Germany (German) If you found your game in the desired language, click on it and than choose for Download and Europe Mirror. A pop-up will open in which you should choose for Save. After downloading you should extract the file using Winrar. In the folder where you extracted, you will find several files of which only the .NDS file is important.
Insert in DS and play. Put the Micro-SD card of your R4 package in your PC-adapter and plug it in your computer. Copy the downloaded NDS-file into the folder of the Micro-SD card (you should best create a Games folder in the root of the SD-card. When finished, unplug the PC adapter, take out the Micro-SD card and plug it into the R4-card. Plug the R4 card into your Nintendo DS and turn it on. After short loading you should get a menu which contains a few icons. One of them is a Games-icon (usually two smilies or a controller). When tapping that icon, you should get a list of files that you placed on the Micro-SD card. Select the .NDS file of the game you want to play and enjoy! Legal? Many people wonder if the playing of downloaded games for Nintendo DS is legal or not. Several Dutch organization as Brein and BIG state the following: "The reconfiguration of a gameconsole, in order to play copied games on it, is illegal.” If you copy a game that you own though, just to prevent the original game from being damaged, it is legal! So make sure you only download games of which you own the original…
